fuck yes!!!! i will weep like a child if the Panthers take Cam Newton. by the way.........last night I went ahead and placed my annual future bets for both NCAA and NFL football championships. I got Auburn at 100 to 1 odds to win the BCS championship. Which i believe to be retarded odds for any SEC team not named Vanderbilt. As usual its not so much my confidence in Auburns team that drives me to this opinion but my confidence in the SEC. Any team in the SEC should not be given the same odds as Arizona, UCLA, Baylor and Washington at winning the BCS (all those teams also have 100 to 1 odds). The reason for this is simple: if you are one of those teams and you win your conference you are not guaranteed a spot in the BCS championship. On the contrary, it is very true for next season, that whichever team wins the SEC will be in the BCS national championship. So for that reason alone the sportsbooks should not be so generous with odds to any SEC team. Especially the reigning champs! payed off for me this year......hope to do it again next!
Also, each year i make a bet on my other team.............the Carolina Panthers. As you may have heard......it didnt pan out last year. But this year they have first pick in the draft and Cam may just lead me to the promise land again. On sportsbook.com Carolina is a 300 to 1 under dog. My 25 dollar bet would pay off $7,500 if they would pull it off. Furthermore this website is offering a promotion inbetween now and the end of the month that says if you place a bet on who will win next years super bowl...........and the Green Bay Packers go on to repeat..........you get your money back. So if Carolina wins i win $7500 and if Green Bay wins i get my money back. and if anyone else wins I spent 25 dollars on a good couple weeks of entertainment. its a win win. if anyone does not already have an account on sportsbook.com and is gonna open one let me know so I can send a referral link that gets me 25 free dolla.
Where ever he goes, I hope it is a situation where he can prosper. I would hate for him to get thrown into a dysfunctional organization and be expected to save it from oblivion.
I feel sorry for him if the Redskins draft him. I want to like the Redskins but I'm convinced that something is bigtime wrong there. It would be awesome if he pulled an Eli if the skins draft him.
If he did pull an Eli it would be interesting to see how it would be portrayed in the media...vs how Eli was portrayed when he did it. Eli caught very little criticism when he demanded the Chargers not pick him...I seriously doubt Cam would get the benefit of the doubt if he did the same. Im not saying...Im just saying...
