I just want to throw it out there that the story of Kodi Burns, in my opinion, is one of the greatest Auburn stories in recent history, and its a shame that the Newton Situation had to overshadow his senior season. Sure, if Camgate hadn't of happened, Cam would have overshadowed him anyway, but he would have been talked about more, and he deserves it.
As someone who has read and watched the video of Kodi's speech handing over the QB position, I have always thought very highly of him. And watching him score that touchdown in the National Championship (WDE!) was an emotional moment, not just for me, but for everyone in the stadium. You could hear people all around applauding not for the touchdown, but for Kodi. Saying, "Good job Kodi," and "you deserve it baby." It was like watching a retarded kid score a touchdown when the other team's defense lets him.
I kid, I kid. In all honesty, for me, Kodi Burns will carry the flame of the Auburn Spirit for a long time to come. Not Cam, not Fairley, but a real Auburn man.
