The Death of Toomer's Oak

Toomer's Oak Poisoned
Personally, I think if they find the person responsible that they should hang him/her from the tree, then set it on fire.

Thank god the citizenz are on patrol updating us with everything that is important out there. I think they should put toilet paper between their toes and set the toilet paper on fire.

  2. I think they should make him drink the shit he killed the tree with! It's cool though b/c the POS is going to jail...he called in a national radio show and bragged about it. Let's go over to Elmwood and dig that ol' drunk ass up and put a Cam jersey on him!

  3. saw this as someones status on facebook:

"Since the Toomer's Oak was poisoned by a bama fan and it is an Auburn tree I expect it to make a miraculous comeback and live another 27-28 years."

  5. That tree transplant is nothing compared to a 18-leaf clover.

  6. I have to admit, the first time someone told me, "every time we win, we run to this tree and throw toilet paper at it," I thought it sounded like a gay tradition, especially since the people keeping it up are educated college kids. I still think it's gay, but it was a shitty thing for that guy to do. I wish in addition to jail time, they would take away his right to be an Alabama fan or wear the logos.

  7. Sure, on its face, throwing toilet paper on a tree seems pretty silly. But compared to many traditions in our society is it really much different? Think about some of the stupid shit fraternities, sororities, and religions do. What I liked about it was like a link to the past. We were recreating something that thousands of people had done before.
