Best AU game you've been to?
As we get closer to opening weekend, I thought it would be fun to reminisce. For me, it was the UT game in '04. The game itself wasn't that exciting, but the weekend was awesome and watching that stadium clear out during half time was great. It was also cool, because I remember thinking, "Alright...Auburn is for real and the LSU game wasn't just a fluke." I also thought it was cool to see Barkley saying "UT is on the tracks and a train is about to come through." on College Gameday. A close second would be the '04 LSU game or the '06? Florida game or the '02 Alabama game. They all sort of run together after the UT game.

It's a close call between the 02 bammer game and the complete swing in momentum of the 2006 blocked gator punt. How about the worst games ever, field goal post game 2005 against LSU and the 2002 fake punt game against florida in the swamp.
ReplyDeleteI was fortunate enough to see the 01 Florida game and it is tough to beat that one. 06 Florida was probably the loudest game I've ever been to in Jordan-Hare. 02 Syracuse was also a good one. 8 pm start time culminating in an exciting 3OT finish.
ReplyDeleteWorst would have to be '02 UGA or '03 USC. Both had terrible weather. UGA was a huge disappointment in the end and USC was hot as balls and we looked like crap after all that hype.
