I've Crossed Over to Complete Nerdom

No joke guys, I've gone 100 percent over to the nerdside. I'm obsessed with the PC Real-Time Strategy game Starcraft II. The proof, just watch this video:
Yeah, that's right, I love this shit. I mean, I thought that Terran player was going to get totally pwned by those Void Rays, but he never gave up and left it all on the field. When the day was done, he kicked that Protoss player's ass.

Honestly, I watched this during lunch today (like I have every day this week), all alone except for the dog, and I yelled out loud, "Whaaaat?!? No fucking way!" That's how much fuck fish.

Still don't believe me? I've got pages of notes I've been taking so I can get better and go online and kick some Korean ass, then, hopefully, have someone commentate my game. Check it out:

OK
Now that I have your attention, I have a public service announcement to make: GET THIS GAME! Seriously, we can play play teams 2v2, or even 4v4 if we dare. That's right Mr. Orange, you have to go buy a new computer now so you can play this gift from God. Seriously, stop what you are doing and go get this. I will be eagerly awaiting your arrival on the battlefield.

P.S. In case you are thinking "Seriously, why waste our time with this?" Let me tell you, there are tournaments where people play this game for money. There are actual Starcraft II professional game players who make a solid living getting crazy with the hotkeys. And believe me, these guys get mad ass too, like sick Justin Bieber type ass.

  2. Jesus! I didn't think we were going to have to set restrictions on what you can and cannot blog about! That is the worst argument for ever trying to talk anybody in to anything.

  3. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA...I actually want this game too. Starcraft was one of the all time great real time strategy games. Unfortunately, the damn game requires a really really good computer. I'm actuallly about to get a brand new computer, but I would have to buy one that is almost $1000. I ain't got that kinda scratch. I was a little depressed when I went to walmart the other day and looked at the system requirements for Starcraft II. So, I guess I will have to live vicariously through you Roach.

  4. Actually, I bought a new laptop in 2008 for $800 and it runs the game great and looks AUsome, granted it was a gaming laptop. But I would assume you could effectively play this game with around a $500 system. I pretty savvy in this dept. so I could help you out. Along with a 24 mo. interest free deal using a BestBuy credit card (which is how I got mine), it's easily attainable.

Also, I forgot to mention that the game came with a free 28 day trial of the game if you are interested.

  6. It's only a code, the game requires an internet connection. It's completely run through Battle.net You can go there, put in the code I give you, and it downloads and installs to your computer, and you setup a free online account with battle.net. It's actually very cool because it saves your game, stats, replays, everything all online. And once you have your access code, which is what you technically are buying, you can put the game onto and play from any computer in the world. Really cool stuff.
